Do You have DJ’s working for you?
Yes we do, besides myself, we have one full time DJ and one part time DJ
employed.
Will it be you or your DJ that plays at my event?
I try to DJ as many functions as possible but it will depend on a few things
such as work, family commitments, if we have multiple bookings on the same
night, etc. All of our DJ’s have years of experience and have played hundreds of
events. We assign the DJ who we think will be the best fit for your event.
What kind of music do you have?
We have music from the 1940s right up until today.
Do you take requests?
We sure do and we encourage them. We will also actually play the request as long
as it is appropriate for the function we are playing at.
Do you dress appropriately?
Yes we do. We dress according to the function we are playing for, ask for
details.
What type of equipment do you use?
We use professional disc jockey equipment that is serviced on a regular basis.
When will you arrive at my function?
We do our best to arrive and set up in the afternoon of the event. There may be
times when we arrive one hour before the event due to work, etc. No matter when
we arrive, we are always ready to go well ahead of our scheduled start time.
Do you provide a written contract?
Absolutely, we will set up a time to meet at our office to sign the contract and
go over music selection and details of your event.
Do you require a deposit?
We require a $200 deposit upon booking your event to secure your date with us.
How would you
like to be paid?
We have Paypal on our website that allows you to pay by any method. We also
accept cheques and cash is always welcome.
What type of
music do you play for dinner music?
We usually play light piano, instrumental or jazz music but are always open to
client suggestions.
Do you have Insurance?
We have liability insurance through the Canadian Disc Jockey Association which
any hall would be pleased to hear that.
Can you play
music for our ceremony?
We sure can, we have the ability to play ceremony music any where you choose to
exchange vows. We play ceremony music using a laptop and a portable speaker and
this set up is run by battery or electrical power. We have played ceremony music
in churches, reception hall, vineyards, golf and country clubs, by the lake,
etc. There isn’t an area where we can’t play. We also provide a microphone so
your guests can hear the wedding vows.
Do you charge a
Travel Fee?
We do not charge a travel fee unless we travel out of the Niagara Area. We
travel for free to Ft. Erie to Niagara On The Lake and to Grimsby. Any
travel past this radius is as follows. All Star Sound covers the first 50
kilometres each way to your function. Any travel that is beyond 50 kilometres,
there is a fee of 0.55 cents per kilometre added. Here is an example: If we
travel 200 kilometres to a function, we minus 100 kilometres (we cover the first
50 kilometres each way). You would pay 100 kilometres multiplied by 0.55 cents
which equals $55.00.
